Abstract: This report is an abbreviated version of a study on the implementation status of the ActionAid Myanmar (AAM) supported fellowship programme as at end 2010. Although the fellowship programme initially emphasised the promotion of community action around tangible areas such as health, education and livelihoods, later projects have focused more on the development of sustainable, inclusive and empowering decision-making structures, all the while emphasising youth leadership. This report sets out to document the scope and scale of both types of action using practical examples of both tangible and intangible achievements as its basis. Moreover, it aims to illustrate the multiple and often complex linkages that exist between the different programme objectives.
