Abstract: Global Matters celebrates just some of the exciting examples of global learning going on around the country in schools, youth work and communities. The case studies show active and participatory approaches that engage learners and encourage critical thinking about a range of important topics, including global trade, environmental sustainability, race, child labour and refugees. They demonstrate the innovative work which is taking place throughout the country, often through the involvement of the voluntary sector. We hope they encourage other educators to reflect on their practice and seek support to develop global learning in their own settings.
