Africa-Europe: The indispensable alliance

L. Michel

2008
Publications Office of the European Union

Abstract: This book is not intended to give an exhaustive analysis of the need to define a new and privileged relationship between Africa and Europe. The goal is to give an up to date political insight into the nature or a partnership so often characterised by that which is not said, by embarrassment, history, suspicion and even humiliation. It aims to be a wake up call to the uncertainties and promises of this future world. Europeans and Africans are natural allies. An indispensable alliance strong and sincere, between two great continents, can forge a future of peace and prosperity. Together, tey can have a decisive influence in a new world order built on justice, solidarity and freedom
