Abstract: This advocacy document has been produced in the light or shadow of the Irish government's recent decision to disproportionally cut Ireland's aid budget in 2009 and 2010, relative to cuts in other sectors. These disproportionates cuts directly negate Ireland's publicly stated promises to the world's poorest and most vulnerable people and they flatly contradict the frequently reinitiated statements of many of our politicians.
