Abstract: This investigation into child trafficking is in a simple and easy-to-read format. The text aims to give the reader a maximum amount of information and food for thought. It has three main sections; this first section describes the events that occurred between September and December 2003. This section deals with describing and analysing the logic and mechanisms behind child trafficking and exploitation of Beninse children in the quarries of Abeokuta. The final section deals exclusively with a well intentioned yet realistic critical review of the emergency response action taken by local authorities and child protection organisations (including Tdh) in light of the sudden and unacceptable problem they faced.
