Abstract: This guide provides a generic overview of the child rights approach and focuses specifically on HIV/AIDS as a cross-cutting issue. It emphasises that more needs to be done to ensure a multi-sectoral, multi-level, and holistic approach to HIV/AIDS across all external programmes and policies. The paper is specifically intended to inform EU and Member States about the child rights framework, which the paper argues should be integrated in EU external policy and programmes.
