Abstract: This publication presents the 32 initiatives selected in the context of the first edition of the GENE Global Education Innovation Award that took place in 2017. Through this award, GENE recognises the importance of innovation in Global Education. The award acknowledges Global Education initiatives that promote positive change and open peoples’ eyes and minds to the realities of the world, locally and globally. It encourages Global Education that brings about this change through creativity, participation, direct action, synergies and innovation and that ultimately has the potential to inspire public policy
